The Arrangement

This series was inspired by elements of the Byzantine Empire infused with classic old Hollywood glam aesthetics. The task at hand revolved around sourcing clothing and accessories that reflected the juxtaposition of the two eras.

RISE

The styling in the film RISE directed by Amber Curry was centered around monochromatic soft knit and linen fabrics. The inspiration for the styling came from the influence of the stable nature in the Divine Masculine. The rope belt detailing at the waist symbolized past restraints being carried throughout the black male experience generationally. The breakthrough of the ties that bind at the end of the film occurs when the lead blossoms into the remembrance of his own innate royalty through having a spiritual epiphany.
